Read Chickenhawk years ago. Then again and again. Superb book in class of its own. Wanted the sequel but whenever I found it, it was a collectors item and very expensive.
Now it has appeared on Kindle, I'm very grateful. If you've read the first book, then this is a must. However, I don't think it works as a stand-alone book.
